Delete your DetectMap account

The live DetectMap service immediately removes your account and its trips, finds, journal entries, uploaded photos and messages. Any active DetectMap subscription is cancelled first.

Restricted-access disaster-recovery backups may contain deleted content for up to 30 days and are subject to our documented retention review and explicit removal procedure. Short-lived operational logs use random request identifiers — not raw account IDs, email addresses or coordinates — and Better Stack retains them for 3 days; Vercel applies its runtime-log plan limit. Billing and tax records remain only where and for as long as required by law. Data already sent through an optional AI feature follows the provider’s own retention rules, over which DetectMap has no direct control; see the Privacy Policy for details.

Delete in four steps

1. 1Sign in to the DetectMap account you want to delete.
2. 2Open Settings, then Data & Privacy. Export a copy first if you want one.
3. 3Choose Delete my account.
4. 4Type DELETE and confirm Delete forever.
